47 lvl The Sword of Arvedui
'Ah yes, where was I...? Well, the Seven Sentinels had sworn to keep a watch on Angmar, but there was no more kingdom of Arthedain to support them. The Seven maintained their vigil and upheld their oaths, but after many years, the six Men died. They were not replaced, as both Gondor and the remaining Dúnedain of Arnor had forgotten them.
'In sorrow, the Elf, whose name has been lost, made a vault in the knights' honour, and then he himself sailed west across the Sea. This is the vault of the Seven Sentinels, and an old tale tells that ancient treasure, imbued with a virtue for fighting the evil of Angmar, is buried here. Yet the keys to opening it are missing. The tale says that the vault can only be opened when the seven swords of the Seven Sentinels are once again raised, but the swords of those great heroes are long lost.
'Still, I have some clues. The first sword is called the Sword of Arvedui. It was borne by a knight who served Arvedui's son Aranarth, but who took up his vigil here rather than follow the other Dúnedain into obscurity. I believe that the sword is hidden somewhere around the dwarves' outpost of Gabilshathûr, which once was the site of the knight's watch-tower. The sword may still be hidden there, someplace.'
47lvl the Sword of Rhudaur
'As I told you before, the other six swords will be much harder to recover, if indeed they still can be found at all.
'The second sword is called the Sword of Rhudaur. Evidently the Dúnedain knight who bore it was a descendant of those who fled the fall of Rhudaur long before and carried a sword from the days when Rhudaur was a kingdom of Arnor.
'According to the old tale, this knight's watch-tower seems to have once been found in the same location as one of the large Orc-camps north of Gabilshathûr. I know not which camp is the right one. But even if the sword can still be found, perhaps under such a marker as you found at Gabilshathûr, it will be no easy task to brave all those Orcs.'
48lvl The Sword of Gondor
'The third sword is called the Sword of Gondor. Of the host that fought the Witch-king at Fornost, many were knights and men-at-arms of Gondor, led by Eärnur, Prince of Gondor. One doughty knight, whose name has been lost, would not be outdone by the knights of Arthedain, and vowed to keep a vigil along with them.
'According to the tale, his watch-tower was at a place not far from here, called Maethad. Unfortunately, this place is infested with evil trolls, and worse, by the mighty Gertheryg, who are fearsome masters of arms.
'It would be all but impossible for you to venture into Maethad on your own, so if you would seek the third sword, I would counsel you to venture to the evil place only with stout companions.'
48lvl The Sword of Slaughter
'The fourth sword is the Sword of Slaughter. The tale is unclear on this point, but I believe the knight who bore it was sickened by the carnage of the Battle of Fornost, and named his blade such because of the many corpses it left behind.
'The tale leads me to believe that this knight kept watch in the middle of one of the most dread areas of Angmar, in some high ruins a far distance west of the central island of Imlad Balchorth. Even then this region was known as a place of dread, a suitable place for this sword to be hidden.
'Again, I must warn you that allies will probably be required to recover this sword.'
48lvl The Sword of Sorrow
Next comes the Sword of Sorrow. This sword was carried by a knight who lost his lands and all his kin to the Angmarim. He swore his oath while bearing a terrible burden of sorrow and hatred.
'The tale says that this knight set up his tower not far east of here, in heights infested by evil drakes. These fell creatures are too fierce for any to fight on even terms, so yet again I must ask you to bring allies with you in the search for the sword.'
49 lvl The Sword of Twilight
'The Sword of Twilight was carried by the lone Elf in the company of the Seven Sentinels. The name of that sword perhaps derives from the feeling amongst some of the Elves that their time in Middle-earth draws to an end, and perhaps is an allusion to the direction of their retreat. Who can say?
'At any odds, the tale says the Elf's sword may be found far to the north, not all that distant from the place my kindred have made for themselves to spy upon Carn Dûm. I believe the sword's hiding place is in a lair of great and terrible spiders. No one adventurer would be able to retrieve the sword alone, so once again I must counsel you to seek allies in your quest'
lvl 50 The Sword of the Vigil
Finally, the last of the seven swords! This weapon is called the Sword of the Vigil, and it was borne by the leader of the Seven Sentinels, a knight who made his post in the most dangerous part of Angmar -- a place perhaps even more deadly than Carn Dûm itself!
'I speak of Nan Gurth, a place inhabited by terrible beasts and the most evil of foes. The tale tells not where in this dread place the sword can be found. Truly, I hesitate to ask you to go to such a terrible place, merely to satisfy my curiosity, and perhaps to uncover an ancient hoard. But too, it would be a shame to stop now, when we are so close!
'Certainly, as before, this quest is far too dangerous for a single adventurer to attempt alone.'
