Vanguard and Variant Improvements:
- Reworking interior to make wider and better fill space
- May have to rework exterior a little to accommodate that
- Small changes to turret
- Widening neck and tail sections and adding components
- Bathroom getting smaller
- Adding space for items, armor, weapons, etc. (physical inventory)
- Adding a small mess area
- Turret getting dedicated space you can move around
- Hoplite and Warden exterior meshes being merged, will be shared across all variants
- Harbinger size 5 torps, will likely get capacity boosted from 3 to "a few more"
- Sentinel will keep rocket pod turret and get revisions on ewar exterior components
Redeemer Rework:
- Proper gunship, no longer a dropship as Hoplite and Valkyrie filled those roles
- Manufacturer may change, or ship me be re-styled to fit Aegis if not
Retaliator:
- Recently had component spaces blocked out, not finished yet, no other updates
Reliant and Variants:
- Improvements on the rear section for player fitting and station space
- Changing tilt of wings coming in 3.5 with new IFCS/flight model
Hull Series:
- Currently behind held up by a variety of techs, which include:
- Ship state machine (initial version coming in 3.5) for expanding/retracting
- Super-sized cargo containers (to prevent 4096 cargo boxes from having to spawn)
- Animated/changing physics grids within a single ship (not currently supported)
- Animated/changing vis areas need to be added (not currently supported)
- Docking (so it can 'land' to buy/sell cargo from stations)
Polaris:
- Maybe late 2019? Style guide assets and design language coming together from other ships. (YouTube 43:38)
Idris:
- Won't release before SQ42 as they want players to learn the ship from SQ42 story not PU
- Idris will rely on an NPC crew to operate, meaning it's a technical requirement for PU as well
Vulture:
- Trying to line up its release with salvage gameplay
Crusader Ships:
- Starting with Mercury
- Hercules and Genesis at same time, not in 2019
Nova:
- Likely to get slipped in soonish as a single artist can work on it
Endeavor:
- JC confirms not getting rid of modularity (heh)
- No changes from concept so far
- Not being worked on, so no real details about hangar size, etc.
Caterpillar:
- Modules are still planned, just no time spent figuring all that out yet
890 Jump:
- In production, looking good, on the roadmap too for 3.6
- Has hangars for two 85X's but only comes with one - you will have to buy the other
- No dedicated pad/hangar for X1 or other, but there's cargo space for vehicles if you like
Orion: Currently paused
Kraken: Paused
Lynx Rover: going into prod in 2019 but may not release in 2019
Origin Rover: going into prod in 2019 but may not release in 2019
X1: No progress
Prowler: No progress
BMM: going into prod in 2019 but may not release in 2019 (once Carrack is done)
Connie Phoenix:
- Instead of getting smuggler cargo area, the cargo hold will be shielded
Connie Taurus:
- Bottom turret space is instead used as hidden and shielded cargo pocket (for smuggling)
- Has much larger cargo bay than other Connies
Apollo: No progress
Carrack:
- Still has the large turrets on the wingtips
- Size brought back down to 125m to fit on L landing pads (128m long pad) versus XL pads
- Still has all advertized features
- Hallways compressed to remove some dead space
- Map table in bridge replaced with holosphere
- Still trying to work in cockpit glass blast shields
- Medbay will be high-tier, but not top-tier
Pisces: going into prod in 2019 but may not release in 2019
