То есть, как нельзя? Я во Фрипорте, как обычно, начал. Быстро ресурсы на шлюп собрал, приобрел его у НПС на причале, уплыл в lawlees регион, построил дом (каменный), верстак, дубильню поставил, оружие и броню скрафтил, на этом на сегодняшний день мое тестирование завершилось. На карте в обычных зонах действительно везде война идет.
Сейчас вообще на любом сервере на любом острове можно родиться, принудительно это указав: смена домашнего сервера, выбираешь квадрат, справа выбираешь название острова.
На карте все острова сопровождаются информацией. Стоимость в очках, владелец, время окна рейд-тайма и тд.
Кратко:
Каждый остров имеет свою цену в очках. Количество этих очков зависит от размера острова, его ресурсообеспеченности и тд.
У каждой компании есть банк в 200 очков, которые она может потратить на захват островов.
Стоимость острова в очках видно на карте.

Если нет проблем с интернетом, то просто перекачай клиент с 0.
Удалил существующий, запустил установку Атласа, перешел в свойства - выбрал бету/publictestrealm - перезапустил клиент стима.

Правой кнопкой мыши на игре( в списке твоих игр в стиме), в появившемся меню самая нижняя строка- это свойства, далее в меню в свойствах самая правая кнопка- "бета-тест", в нем выбираем нижнюю строк и нажимаем закрыть, клиент сам обновится до птр.
