note You guys are too kind, someone has given me a DotA2 code so I can try it out for myself and I'm downloading it now. Thank you for your responses and generosity.

So yesterday, October 6, 2012, Riot held day 3 of their world championship. With a $2,000,000 prize pool on the line, and hundreds of thousands of viewers, the event was a failure. Players had sun in their eyes at the beginning of the event, delaying the start. Players could and did turn their heads while playing and view the large screen showing the game, including the mini map. The game relied on an internet connection, which failed at least 3 times, resulting in games being restarted and ultimately a rescheduling of the event.
I know DotA2 has already had large prize pool tournaments. Have those events been administered in a more professional manner?
edit "I come in peace" succinctly tells you that I'm familiar w/ LoL and not so much DotA2, and that I'm interested in learning more. Is there a better way to fit that into a title?
I'm watching the International IG vs Na'Vi game 2 now. So far I love the sound proof booths, the improved picks and bans sequence, the cs/denies tally, and the flying courier. I'm not sure about the runes showing up in random places and with random buffs; that seems a little too chancy. Also, the towers seem really wimpy compared to LoL's towers. Well, to stay on topic, yeah, Riot's WC Season 2 feels like a bad joke now.
edit 2 Did the camera operator just draw lines on the mini map like a sports caster might do during a US Football game?!
