WHERE IS GUARDSMAN BOB FROM?

He was born in Denmark and still lives there. His address is linked to a band he plays a lot on his stream...


HOW CAN I FIND OUT WHICH RUNES BOB IS USING?

Log into the League of Legends client and search for Guardsman Bob's profile, the currently selected rune page is the one he is using at the moment. Alternatively, if you know the name of the rune page, you can type "/msg GManBot !runepage [any text that appears in the rune page's name]". For example, if you input "!runepage battlewick", the bot will list the runes within the rune page Bob uses for Warwick. This feature is still being worked upon, and so isn't 100% reliable.


DOES BOB PLAY ON NA/EU?

He has accounts on both servers, but he mainly plays solo queue ranked on NA servers when he's on stream which is why his ping is usually high. He started playing on NA servers because his friends from Guild Wars were playing there. He also added that he does not play for the rating, therefore the lag is not much of an issue for him. His EU account just hit level 30 so he is still climbing the ladder. A general rule of thumb used to determine if he's playing EU or NA at the moment is to look at his latency (top right corner, next to FPS). 1-2 bars should mean EU while 3 or more should mean NA. Of course, there are exceptions to this.


WHAT IS BOB'S ELO?

His top rating in solo queue is 1920, but his Elo seems to range between 1500-1850. Keep in mind that he plays for the entertainment of the stream watchers and himself, he always streams in his main account, and he suffers some lag due to playing on the NA servers despite residing in Denmark.

The bot needs to see "!song". To avoid polluting the chat, please use "/msg GManBot !song".


CAN I RATE SONGS?

You can use the !rate [rating] command to rate the song that is currently playing through Bob's winamp player. In this situation, it is not considered bad practice to show everyone your appreciation/dislike of the song, so you can omit the "/msg GManBot" part. You can only rate a song while it is still playing, otherwise your rating will be counted towards the next song on the playlist. You cannot rate songs that are played through YouTube, for example, since it's not configured through the bot and so it will not recognize what you are trying to rate.

He also contributed to Anarchy Online, helping the community by establishing rules and such. Civilizations V is also a game he enjoys playing from time to time. He also used to play Magicka.

WHO IS GMANBOT?

GManBot is Bob's IRC chat bot. Bob is regularly seen coding him in Java.


WHY IS GMANBOT NOT ANSWEING ME?

The bot may be under a lot of load so it might take time for him to answer you. You should also check if the bot is online or not.


ARE THERE ANY OTHER BOT COMMANDS I SHOULD BE AWARE OF?

!request [your song request] will let Bob know that you want this song added to his music library.

!themesong [your suggestion along with the champion name] will let Bob know you nominate this song as the theme song for the champion specified.

If Bob is hosting a "Play with Bob" day, you can add your name to the raffle by using "/msg GManBot !addname [your summoner name on League of Legends]". When bob states that he is looking for viewers to play with, this is the only way in which you may request to play a game. In order for this feature to work, you must message the bot within a private message. The lottery resets, you cannot just input your summoner name at any given time, and expect for data to still be stored. While all commands are available to users, some commands are not received through the main IRC chat room. This is to reduce spam of the channel.

The commands that are currently limited to private messaging the bot only are !addname and !runepage.


WHAT DOES +V MEAN IN THE IRC CHANNEL?

+v means you are voiced. That means that if the channel becomes flooded by unwanted content and becomes moderated, only voiced users will be able to talk. This is unlikely to happen because trolls generally get ignored, stay away from the channel, or get kicked by moderators or GManBot.
