Since im tired of spreading the word across the entire forum, i thought to put my final pre-beta evaluation on this project(DoW 3) in a single thread. This is not a Thread about the game beeing a moba, i disagree on this point, people called even dow 2 a moba just for having heroes basicaly, which is right out ♥♥♥♥ing stupid.....
So why is Danw of War 3 nothing but a HUGE middle finger to the fans?
1st of all, it is aimed for a different audience, it is not suposed to atract the fans of the franchise as such in the first place. DoW 3's entire design shouts for the current popular trends, like the cartoonish art design(Dota, Overwatch etc) or the moba inspired gameplay(I didnt call it a moba, its moba inspired). But why is this supposed to ♥♥♥♥ off the original fanbase, you might be asking? Becouse Relic games always have been different, that is what made them so special, and that is what atracted the fans like me, who jumped from WC 3 onto DoW 2. Basicaly, most of those who played their games like CoH or DoW 2, either had enough of Blizzard classic RTS games, or never even liked them in the first place. And now "neoRelic", which consists of the people, who didnt touch dow 2 or 1 at all, entirely new team, are throwing all the concepts their fans love about their games out of the window, to atract new players. Fans desires and wishes are beeing sacrificed for a bunch mindless mainstream dumbasses drawn right from overwatch, csgo, Dota and Lol. Should i realy explain why? Cover mechanic removed, supression mechanic removed, garnison mechanic removed, retreat mechanic removed, graphical design, expendable line units and overall a very lore unfriendly gameplay design dicision yet again to atract new people.
My personal main problem of the game is the drastic change of the gameplay. I am sure most of even "haters" on this forums won't ♥♥♥♥ing understand my point, but hell i'll give it a try. I could accept the goofy graphical design, i could have accepted the heavy focus on heroes, i have no problem with 3 races at the start or new voice acting. Its irrelevant compared to how the game actualy plays. From all I've seen and heared from those who played the beta - the game is a blob on blob with heroes killing creeps and trying to kill enemies elites. To me it way obvious day 1 after the very first article about this game. LARGE ARMIES! BIG UNITS! WAAAGHH!......so naively stupid. The sad part is, there are realy a ton of people who think that this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥t makes a good rts. Just the fact that your popcap now is 250 and not 100(why not just make it 100 and let units take less upkeep is beyond my imagination, probobly to show off to the dumb people who asked for supreme commander copy paste how many you now can field)....But why, why not the big armies, you ask? Becouse big armies can not be controled with the same depth as smaller groups. There are games that implement huge battles great, like TW games or Wargame European Escalation, becouse these games have an entirely different aproach on gameplay. In classic RTS games, huge armies turn into cluster ♥♥♥♥ blobs that you simply send RMB + A on the enemy and focus on couple of units(in case of dow 3 on elites) to deal max damage. I thought the size of CoH 1/2 was optimal and would fit dow 3 just fine, but no, having 100500 diying space marines on the field is so essential we have to sacrifice all the tactical deapth. And dont tell me otherwise, i saw the "good" people playing it, i heared from vet dow 2 players how they couldnt beare to play even a day of that disgusting beta.
Developers think that we "loyal fans" will buy everything they tag as Dawn of War 3, and many do pre order it just for the fact. But just think of how disrespectful it actualy is. Devs think we are going to eat any ♥♥♥♥, we never liked, while their main goal is to satisfy someone else, not their fanbase. That is the middle finger to any true fan of the franchise. Especialy those who stayed loyal after dow 2's release.

P.S out of 40 friends on my list playing dow 2, only 5 out asked 25 are accepting the changes, just that nobody comes in with "Its your personal opinion, the majority loves the changes into the dumb RMB+A battle simulator".
В принципе всё так, судя по тому, что я видел на игромире и в ведосах.
Чем в свое время зацепил первый дов? Тем что существенно отличался от общепринятой концепции стратегий. В нем не надо было разменивать трех зергов на одного террана, в нем надо было апгрейдить юниты, прожимать скиллы, и атаковать кого надо кем надо. Ну и замесы были просто красивы, отлично анимированы, было интересно стравливать разные расы между собой, ну и всякое такое.
Вторую кто то хаял, но хз, ее содрали с компани оф хероес, а я любил компани оф хероес. И если оно через какое то время скатывалось в банальное строительство базы и клепание мясных юнитов, то тут было про штучные юниты и их апгрейды, а такое я люблю. Неплохая тактическая глубина, все эти укрытия, скиллы, шмот, узкоспециализированные юниты. Тоже с удовольствием прошел за все расы.

А тут судя по всему будет чисто старкрафт с элементами дотанчика. Ну хз, как по мне это как если бы пилларс оф етернити 2 вдруг стало клоном диаблы или что нибудь в этом роде.
