As far as performance, it looks like the EU server is back to the way it should be performing. We are monitoring closely to make sure there are no other issues. As for a possible rollback reported by some players, nothing was initiated by us, but we're looking into it to figure out what caused it. If it's true, we're afraid that there's nothing we can do other than compensate for the lost time. We take your reports at face value so we have added a sixth day to the total compensation to address this possibility. We'll update you on Monday with any new information. We apologize again for the problems and we'd like to thank you for your patience.

"In an email we received this morning that starts with "dear valued customers" our hosting provider informed us that the scheduled maintenance planned for 6am GMT, would not be happening until September 3d due to a customs issue that held the delivery of the controller on September 1st. So we're looking at an extra day of waiting, and we have to apologize to our own valued customers yet another time. They haven't let us know of a time yet, but we'll inform you as soon as they do. Unfortunately our communication to you can only be as good as the feedback we receive from them. It goes without saying that we haven't been taking this issue lightly and that your dissatisfaction is being channeled through us towards them. On a separate note, regarding the NA1 server, there has been a lot of work done to address the routing issue and we believe that things may be improving. We'd like some feedback from the NA1 players on this if possible so that we can continue working on this.

EU servers will go down at 6am GMT tomorrow September 2 and the downtime should last until 11am GMT. During this time both controllers on the SAN will be replaced with new units and more maintenance will be performed, restoring performance to its potential. We're aware that some problems are still present, apparently the SAN was patched up so that it worked, but obviously not optimally. A miscommunication at 2am Greek time between our hosting provider, our server administrators and myself led to this morning's announcement that servers were back to normal. I apologize for inadvertently giving you the wrong information. We are confident that tomorrow's maintenance operation will finally bring this issue to a conclusion. Two more days will be added to the three days we announced as compensation for this unfortunate situation with the EU server.

We would like to inform you that the maintenance for the European Server will be extended to 3 hours in order to patch some changes to improve performance. There will be another (as of yet unscheduled) extended maintenance to add the second part of the performance improvement for the EU server. We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.

We've been aware of the performance issues on the EU servers since they started last week. While these issues remains you may experience random latency during gameplay. The problem has to do with a Storage Area Network hardware failure and it's something our hosting partner needs to fix. We've been in constant contact with them and they're waiting on replacement parts which we are told were expected today but did not arrive so now we're looking at tomorrow. In the meanwhile we're doing all we can to work around this. Performance is an extremely serious issue with us and we're constantly working on improvements. Apart from dealing with this specific issue, we are currently working on major performance upgrades for both servers to be added during the upcoming expansion. We sincerely apologize for these problems. We'll take stock after the current hardware issue is addressed and reimburse accordingly.
